color crush {indigo and peach}

I fell in love with this dress from Thread Social a few weeks ago not only for its whimsical style but the amazing color combination. The peach with the deep indigo is so soft and feminine. Then when I saw this room earlier today, I realized that as with most color combinations in fashion that they work equally as well in interiors.

The spring 2011 line from Karen Walker was a breath of fresh air full of bright colors and some stunning original patterns. However, my favorites were these two ensembles. I love the casual cut of the shirts with the flowy (pocketed!) skirts and the classic belts.

Flirty, feminine and classic...it truly doesn't get better than that and no one does it better than Oscar de la Renta. This once again proven on the runway last week. Pure bliss and a divine source of interior inspiration.

fuchsia + botanical prints

There is some stunning fashion coming down the runway in New York this week but hands down my favorites so far were the jaw dropping and feminine gowns from Carolina Herrera. Especially this one.....

...probably because the botanical print and pops of fuchsia remind me of one of my all time favorite interior shots (one of the few with a place on my pin board).

The morning air is crisp, hot cocoa cravings are setting in and ski passes are now on sale. I hate to say it but Fall is on the way and the fall and winter lines are finally having some appeal to me. I am especially crazy about the winter line from See by Chloe. It is full of rich color, playful patterns and luxurious textures. And as with most of my favorite fashion looks these qualities translate beautifully into rooms.

The second I saw this room, designed by David Netto, I was intrigued by the mix of two very bold patterns, the rug and the wallpaper.

The colors are so rich and made me excited for the colors of fall and inspired the first few pieces I would like to put in my closet for a look with punches of classic style and pattern.

One of the highlights of my weekend was discovering (I am sure I am the last one) that Emerson Made launched a clothing line. As with everything else she makes the line is sheer perfection--fabulous colors and playful twists on classics. I seriously want each and every piece!

Oh Carolina, another fabulous collection full of frills, femininity and to die for glamour. I think resort 2011 may be my favorite yet with the impeccable color and cut choices I only wish I had a black tie affair to attend. Something just so magical about and every piece...

Jason Wu's resort 2011 line is a perfect example of why sophisticated silhouettes and classic style will never go out of fashion. The line is perfectly playful and provides amazing inspiration for everyone room in the house.

The 2011 Chanel Resort line is absolutely amazing! I adore each and every single piece but these simple sashed looks are the ones I would most love to add to my closet. Not sure how one would not feel instantly stylish in anyone of them. Their fresh and sophisticated look also make them an ideal inspiration for interiors.

We had a little hint of summer in the weather today and I was actually in just shorts and a tank on my afternoon hike. It made me beyond excited for summer and the playful and colorful looks of the season. Trina Turk has long been my go to for sensible and fashionable summer looks. And the 2010 summer line happens to go quite well with some of my favorite interiors of the moment.

Simple sophistication with a twist--that is how I would describe Heidi Merrick's spring 2010 line. Love the soft colors and leather touches paired with feminine pieces.

When I saw the fall 2010 Louis Vuitton collection my jaw dropped! It was so refreshing to see such feminine shapes--I especially loved the belted waists and bow detail on the shoes. Truly divine!
