It is that time of the winter when my skin needs some pampering and my mind needs a rest. Although I would love to splurge on a treatment at the Four Seasons I think I will purchase some bath salts and start to take a little time out of my day to unwind with a long soak (and perhaps a glass of wine!), now if only it was in this luxurious bathroom...

I would not describe my personal style as glamorous, either in fashion or my home. However I do love imagining what living a glamorous urban life would be like. The touches of gold, over the top wall treatments, plush fabrics, bold patterns and pure luxury that drip from this home are the perfect backdrop for my daydreaming.

And even if glam is not your personal style, there may be an element that you are drawn to or inspired by. So don't overlook a room for inspiration just because the over all feel is not your taste.

Oh, how fun over the top glamour can be and sitting here having my coffee and zipped up in a patagonia fleece I am definitely craving a little dose. This space (and that Valentino dress) is the perfect quick fix!

glorious {bedroom} glamour

I prefer glamorous touches to all out luxury, just my personal preference. But there really is something to be said about the indulgent and over the top glam. When layered well with the rich colors and textures it is so stunning, as this home proves. I adore the tufted teal headboard, freestanding armoire and almost gothic bedside lighting of this bedroom--especially against the industrial feel of the wall treatment.

gracious {designer} glamour

I am always fascinated by the dwellings of interior designers. They are constantly bombarded by new inspiration and I just love seeing what trends they choose to replicate in their homes. I love the glamorous apartment of Paula Caravelli, of Paul and Martha Design.
The metallic gold coffee table, bold rug and stunning settee create an impeccable living space.

I am especially intrigued by the graphic artwork in the bathroom.

palmer weiss {portfolio update}

I thought it would be appropriate to end the week with a little touch of glamour! I was thrilled when I saw that one of my favorite designers, palmer weiss, update her portfolio with this stunning dining room! I just love the palette, faux wood wallpaper, high gloss buffet, stunning mirror and the unique light fixture that fits perfectly with the dining room chairs. I could go on and on...

a soft glamour

Glamour in a room can be interpreted in many different ways. It can mean high gloss paint, drama, an overload of gilt pieces but it can also be light and fresh. Which as you may guess from these images is my current preference!

I just love the simple yet elegant chandeliers, neutral palette and natural light.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I am unwinding from mine with a relaxing night watching the Grammy's. Maybe it is just me but whenever I watch award shows I feel the desire to deck myself in everything sparkly and glamorous in my closet. Which has led to my urge to purchase a few more pieces in the classic but hardly boring combination of black and silver.

Looking around my living room I would say that it is welcoming and has a classic clean look. Even though I have a few glamorous accessories I really want to add one key piece that exudes glamour without going overboard. So, I have a mirror that I am going to redo the frame of in soft gold and I hoping it will turn out looking just like these...
