packing list {italian riviera}

I spent most of this past weekend trying to strategically pack for my first European visit. My bag is a small one and I am attempting to fit in attire for the beach, country and city--it is proving difficult. I thought I should start one setting at a time and this would absolutely be my ideal items for the Italian Riviera portion of the trip...

(calyspo celle bathing suit, dvf dress, marc jacobs seagrass tote, winifred grace bangles, belle by sigerson flats)
If you're planning a trip and need a new suitcase to pack all your stuff into then why not check out the Very store, where there are loads of different designs. It's great when you can match your style to your personality, even with luggage.

current cravings {classic coastal}

Maybe it is because I will be headed to the beach (one in Italy!) soon but I am completely drawn to sand and sea inspired colors. If I am ever lucky enough to have a beach home you can be sure that these classic and jaw dropping pieces can be found in it...

silver + mandarin

Sexy is not a word I use often, at least in terms of a color combination but I can't help but use it when describing the look of silver and mandarin together.

And how could you not feel sexy in those sandals!?

apres ski {tres} chic

I have a confession, I do not like winter clothing. I just love flip flops and j.crew tissue tees so much that I have a difficult time trading them in for boots and cable knit. However, living in a ski town I am beginning to get funny looks for wearing skinny jeans and flats that lack any traction. Now, if only I had these items in my closet to change my closet to transform these feelings...

(via wallace sewell, rebecca taylor cape, kate spade clutch, chloe boots, YSL ring and aubin and willis sweater dress)
I also would secretly love to be that girl that went overboard and wore this ensemble for an apres ski beverage!

the sparkle of fall

Although the snow did not fall today I was wearing a sweatshirt while floating the river today and the cottonwoods on the banks were turning golden. It is inevitable, fall is here and I am actually getting excited to start pulling out my favorite fall sparkles and maybe add a few new pieces....

(lanvin flats, alice and olivia skirt, 3.1 phillip lim top and lulu frost earrings)

easy breezy style

Oh Monday, I have never loved you so much (well, this week). This past weekend was the busiest of my summer due to a large Sunday evening event. So although Monday means another work week it also brings with it a big sigh of relief that this event is complete and was a success. It also calls for a day of easy breezy style.

Happy Monday! I thought that a dose of playful pink and fanciful pattern was the perfect way to start what is going to be another hectic week.

craving color

It finally feels like summer here in Jackson (it snowed last week!) and I am thrilled to be able to finally pull out my warm weather clothing! I only wish that I could add just a little bit more bold color to my wardrobe with one of these amazing missoni pieces.

pretty in pewter+texture

I have had quite a few talks lately with friends regarding color and pewter grays seem to dominate. I am not surprised, as in the past couple years it has become a very popular hue in both fashion and interior design. I am currently loving these tones look when mixed with rich textures and bold patterns.

glamorous neutrals

Looking back on my week of posts it seems there is a common theme--neutral and natural spaces. I will never grow bored of them. There is a calm and understated glamour that only a neutral palette full of layered texture can provide. The same rings true for my favorite staples for this spring...

ravishing in rose

I spent the first weekend of spring in the sun and it has left my cheeks quite rosy! Hoping that if I incorporate a little more pink in my life that no one will notice. Wishful thinking but worth a try, as you can never go wrong with a hint of rosy pink!

pure summer bliss

I was just about to loose my motivation to go for another evening run but my desire to have the physique for the pieces in the summer 2010 collection from Thread Social is pushing me to get on my shoes and turn up my ipod.

I have never really loved a maxi dress until I saw this one--the colors, elegant stripes and that bow are just too much for me to resist. And a canary skirt with pockets, yes please!
And how perfect are these simple and casual silhouettes for a trip to the farmer's market!?

light in lace

Lace has made quite the comeback in the past year--admittedly it took me a while to get the visions of doilies and tea stained curtains out of my head and find a love for all things lace and lace inspired. There is certainly nothing stuffy about these pieces..

(lulu front necklace, calypso dress, egizia glassware, santi clutch, marc jacobs tops, rosanne pugliese earrings and kristin kahle mesh belt)
