clean slate {of curtains}

The beginning of a new year is the perfect time for a clean slate in every aspect of your life--a blank new calendar (which I just realized I don't have!), an revamp of your wardrobe or a fresh look in your home. And a fresh look in your home does not mean a major overhaul--it can be something simple like adding a crisp cream curtain along a wall to cover up an old wall color or simply to add texture, as in this home designed by Vincente Wolf. Even these little things make a world of difference.

I am also just crazy about the proportions of this light fixture to the dining room table and the way the mirror hangs against the pleats of the curtain.

three mirrors are better than one

My jaw dropped when I saw this room. What first struck me was the incredible balance and scale. As with most great rooms, this room certainly has a a focal point--the triple mirrors. I love the sense of illusion they add. I am tempted to buy three inexpensive floor length mirrors and replicate this in my bedroom.

inspiration {mirrored discs}

I am accident prone and am sure that if I had a mirrored tabletop that I would certainly break or scrape it almost instantly. However, the look is one that I am fond of. Placing a few mirrored discs on a table (especially against the distressed wood of this particular table) is a stunning and unique alternative. Definitely the perfect touch in an eclectic dining room.

loving {wall of mirrors}

Looking to create a unique and impacting look in your bathroom without renovation? I am smitten with the idea of having not just one mirror over the sink but many. Adds such fun visual interest and will distract the eye from any flaws the space may have.
