eye candy {morning retreat}
When I was fresh out of college my mornings were precious--I would get up early to watch the news, eat a full breakfast and have a moment of calm before a long day of work. Nowadays I am lucky if I even have enough time to turn on the coffee pot! I think that if I had this lovely sun porch in which to enjoy the morning light that perhaps I could get back to the morning routine of my early 20's.

I just love the tolix chairs mixed with the simple farmhouse style table and the large potted topiaries--all in all a perfect morning retreat.

clean slate {of curtains}
The beginning of a new year is the perfect time for a clean slate in every aspect of your life--a blank new calendar (which I just realized I don't have!), an revamp of your wardrobe or a fresh look in your home. And a fresh look in your home does not mean a major overhaul--it can be something simple like adding a crisp cream curtain along a wall to cover up an old wall color or simply to add texture, as in this home designed by Vincente Wolf. Even these little things make a world of difference.

I am also just crazy about the proportions of this light fixture to the dining room table and the way the mirror hangs against the pleats of the curtain.

eye candy {dining perfection}
The dark herringbone wood floors, clean stripes of the chair fabric, an amazing chandelier are all framed perfectly by the eye-catching architectural elements of this space. Top it all off with a granite dining room table and it is the perfect formula for a luxurious and welcoming dining room.

sunday {supper} setting
I love Sunday evenings and unwinding from the weekend by preparing a complex meal (think homemade pasta) for friends. As I am in the middle of the Rocky Mountains serving in fabulous and formal beach setting is incredibly appealing at the moment. Especially if it was under a seaglass tinged chandelier and served on a lovely mandarin greek key adorned table covering.

Hope you are having a lovely Sunday supper, wherever you may be enjoying it.

loving {cool white dining rooms}
If I didn't love Italian cuisine (particularly anything with red sauce) so much I would most certainly have a cool white dining area. Here are just two reasons why...

tolix + topiaries
While I am on the subject, this space made me realize that there are two requirements that must be featured in my dream casual dining room--tolix chairs and tiny topiaries! And I also wouldn't mind a wall of charming cubbies filled with heavy glassware.

magnificent + multifunctional
I love open living/dining/kitchen areas. These spaces creates the perfect stage for the casual entertainer. I like many of my friends love being able to be working at the stove, be social with guests and keep an eye on empty wine glasses. I know that I would love to be hosting our next sushi night in this inviting space.

The color palette is welcoming, the accessories thoughtful and the attention to detail exquisite.

divine {casual] dining
I am loving the eclectic feel and unexpected elements in these casual dining rooms. From the mix of this country style table, modern chairs and rustic lantern lighting...
